FK Architecture Proudly Partners with Basket Brigade to Help Families in Central Florida

Everyone should have the opportunity to celebrate the holidays without fearing the lack of food to put on the table. For the fifth year in a row, we partnered with Basket Brigade, an event dedicated to providing food for Central Florida families in need. Each year, we have donated four large boxes filled with non-perishable food items for Thanksgiving dinner or contributed the funds to sponsor packages. Our team, led by Shelbee Bullock, the firm’s Marketing Coordinator, worked together to collect food and design vibrant “Happy Thanksgiving” themes for each box to bring joy to those receiving the donation.

“Community outreach is part of the fabric of our firm. It is important to bring communities together during the holiday season and spread love. This is why we donate each year and do our part to help provide ingredients to make a Thanksgiving meal,” said Shelbee. “Acts of kindness make an immense impact on those in need. We look forward to continuing our participation in outreach events to uplift and support our local community and work toward building a better tomorrow.”

Food insecurity is a prominent issue in Central Florida and across our nation. It is estimated that over 500,000 people in Central Florida experience hunger. One in eight people and one in five children live in households with scarce food. Food drives, such as Basket Brigade, help provide those in need access to nutritionally beneficial food.
