New Comfort Inn & Suites Debuts Near Orlando Sanford International Airport
A new Comfort Inn & Suites has opened near Orlando Sanford International Airport, bringing added convenience for travelers while supporting the growing hospitality needs of the Sanford community. Recently featured in several news outlets, the four-story hotel reflects FK Architecture’s approach to hospitality design, balancing guest experience, operational clarity, and long-term value.
Located just minutes from the airport and the Boombah Sports Complex, the hotel is well-positioned to accommodate group travel and regional events, contributing to Sanford’s continued growth as a destination. The design prioritizes a straightforward, welcoming experience, with open, light-filled common areas that support both short stays and extended visits.
Guests have access to a range of amenities tailored to convenience and comfort, including an oversized pool, shaded cabana, outdoor grilling area, meeting space, and a complimentary airport shuttle. The breakfast area is designed to handle peak morning traffic efficiently, helping guests start their day with ease, whether they are heading to the airport, a tournament, or local business meetings.
The project was developed by AirSan Investments LLC in collaboration with Lamm & Company Partners and Newport Hospitality Group, reflecting a coordinated effort between ownership, development, and operations. The opening also marks the second hotel partnership between the Hickman family and Newport Hospitality Group, further strengthening their presence in the region.
As Sanford continues to attract new visitors and investment, the addition of the Comfort Inn & Suites further strengthens the city’s ability to support a wide range of travel needs. For FK Architecture, the project represents a continued commitment to designing hospitality environments that not only serve travelers but also contribute meaningfully to the communities around them.
