Partnership Completes Development of Affordable Community - Zion Village
An article published on March 24 in Seniors Housing Business announces FK Architecture’s partnership with Smith & Henzy Affordable Group, Mt. Zion AME Church of Riverview, Adonai’s Second Chances, The Tampa Housing Authority and Hillsborough County on the development and ground opening of Zion Village, a new affordable senior housing community in Riverview, Florida, located on Tampa Bay. The 75-unit development is reserved for seniors earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area's median income.
FK Architecture designed the community, which includes amenities to support day-to-day well-being and connection, such as a clubroom, gathering areas, an outdoor pavilion, a fitness center, a library, a movie room, and a media center. The development showcases how cross-sector collaboration can accelerate the delivery of affordable senior housing in a high-demand region.
"This development goes beyond providing housing; it’s about creating a supportive, accessible environment where seniors can feel at home and connected to their community," said FK Architecture Managing Principal Ted Hunton, AIA. "Through careful planning and collaboration with our project partners, FK Architecture helped deliver a community that balances affordability with thoughtful design to meet the needs of its residents."
