The Enclave at Canopy Park Opens, Expanding Affordable Housing in Orlando
In an article published July 21 in Multifamily & Affordable Housing Business,FK Architecture is recognized alongside Archway Partners for opening The Enclave at Canopy Park, a 104-unit affordable housing community in Orlando. The community expands access to quality one- and two-bedroom homes for households earning up to 22 or 80 percent of the area median income.
The news story notes that Orange County invested $3 million from its Affordable Housing Trust Fund to help make rents as low as $400 per month available for qualifying households. Average rents at the community are approximately $1,200 per month, helping address a critical need for attainable housing in Central Florida.
The Enclave at Canopy Park pairs housing with amenity-rich, resident-focused design, including a clubhouse and community center, fitness center, tech lab, gathering spaces, electric vehicle charging stations, and a public art program. FK Architecture’s design supports a community where residents can access both comfortable homes and spaces that foster connection, wellness, and opportunity.
The development also provides on-site resources through community partnerships for young adults aging out of foster care and individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness. A dedicated apartment for a local law enforcement officer further reflects the project’s commitment to resident support and neighborhood connection.
The project team included Archway Partners, FK Architecture, Pike Construction Services, Kimley Horn, Bank of America, Citibank, and Florida Housing Finance Corp.
