FK Architecture Reflects on a Season of Celebration at Orlando’s Festival of Trees
As the year comes to a close, FK Architecture is reflecting on one of the most festive highlights of the holiday season, the Festival of Trees at the Orlando Museum of Art. Presented by the Council of 101, the beloved event returned for its 39th year from November 15 through 23, welcoming the community to experience the creativity, joy, and artistry that mark the start of the holidays in Orlando.
This year’s theme, A Season of Celebration, honored meaningful moments both big and small, while also recognizing two major milestones, 60 years of service by the Council of 101 and the upcoming centennial of the Orlando Museum of Art. FK Architecture was honored to contribute to this celebration by designing and installing a holiday tree that brought the firm’s design story, In Perfect Harmony, to life.
The Festival of Trees transforms the museum into a whimsical, storybook setting, with each space illuminated by twinkling lights and imaginative displays. FK’s holiday tree embraced this spirit, drawing inspiration from the shared language of architecture and music. Both disciplines rely on rhythm, balance, and composition to create experiences that connect emotionally and leave a lasting impression.
“This truly was a season of celebration,” said Shelbee Bullock, Marketing Communications Manager at FK Architecture. “Our team worked thoughtfully to bring together rhythm, harmony, and balance in the design, highlighting the natural intersection of art and architecture.”
The In Perfect Harmony tree celebrated the many designers whose creativity is influenced by music, honoring the way sound and structure inspire innovation. At FK Architecture, design is approached much like composing a song, with intention, rhythm, and soul. As the holidays wind down, the team is grateful to have been part of an event that brought the community together and celebrated creativity in all its forms.
