Fort Myers Affordable Housing Community: Oak Park Senior Living

FK Architecture is proud to share that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Oak Park Senior Living community in Fort Myers has officially taken place. Designed by FK Architecture in partnership with affordable housing developer National Community Renaissance (National CORE), the event was held on Thursday, April 24, and welcomed local leaders, project partners, and community stakeholders.

Located at 3875 E. Michigan Avenue, Oak Park Senior Living will provide 144 one- and two-bedroom apartment homes for residents aged 62 and older, with income eligibility between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income (AMI). The community is designed to support active, independent lifestyles with a mix of high-quality, modern amenities.

The 5-acre development will include outdoor spaces such as a swimming pool, a pickleball court, and a resident-tended community garden. Residents will enjoy a fitness center, TV, game room, and a cybercafé offering computer training classes.

“Oak Park offers senior residents a distinguished living experience where they can appreciate a sense of home while enjoying some of the best modern amenities,” said Rajiv Ramakrishnan, Associate at FK Architecture. “The residents will also enjoy a safe and comfortable environment for socializing, entertaining, and enjoying the great outdoors.”

Construction is now underway, with project completion anticipated in summer 2026.
